Do you need help from CRIC?

Here is a list of the programs and classes we currently offer. For information on class times or to access resources, please call 435-612-2246 or visit us during office walk-in hours.

Office Walk-In Hours

Monday- Thursday: 3-6 pm

Office Location: 1115 N 200 E Suite 130, Logan, UT 84341

Join us for Walk-In Hours where you can receive help in various ways from staff and volunteers. This could include:

  • Filling out forms
  • Applying for housing and jobs
  • Making phone calls in English
  • Helping to understand mail
  • And much more!

During walk-in hours, we get to know people and the difficulties they are facing. Friendships and community connections are built during walk-in hours.

Case Work

Our dedicated case managers tackle issues that are too lengthy or complex to be resolved during Walk-In Hours and require additional case management. They are always willing to help connect you to the resources and help you need.

Just visit us during Walk-In Hours to set up an appointment or contact us with any questions.

Resettlement

As an affiliate of Church World Service, a National Resettlement Agency, we work with newly arriving refugee cases placed by the U.S. Department of State. Our responsibility is to help them be successful and integrate into their new life in the United States.

What does that look like? From day one off the plane through 90 days and beyond, we help locate housing, find employment, enroll children in school and help them get set up for life in the U.S. We also help them access appropriate legal resources to reunite their families someday.

Money Management Class

Our Money Management classes are offered in both English and Spanish. This class focuses on how to navigate the complexities of banking, credit, and other financial management systems. Participants in the classes also have the opportunity to build their credit with a small-dollar-amount, secured credit card managed specifically for our clients by Cache Valley Bank.

Driver's License Tutoring

Would you like to get your driver's license? We can help! This program helps immigrants and refugees learn and study for the written Utah drivers license exam. Individual tutoring is available in English, Spanish, and other languages depending on volunteer availability.

Interested in obtaining a Utah drivers license? Fill out this form to request a tutor.

Citizenship Tutoring

Do you want to become a United States citizen? We will set you up with a volunteer tutor to study U.S. history and civics to help prepare you to take the U.S. citizenship exam.

Visit us during walk-in hours if you are interested in participating.

Community Garden

We help to empower refugees and immigrants as they take part in our community garden. It is a space where they can plant, grow and harvest their own fresh produce.

Stay tuned for next season’s updates!

Community Connections

We host a variety of events to help create community connections, build friendships, assist in integration, and learn about local resources. The annual celebration of World Refugee Day (June 20) is our largest event.

World Refugee Day is on June 20 and we host a celebration on the following Saturday.

Stay up to date on our events by following us on social media or by subscribing to our emails!

Partner Organizations and Other Referrals

We are able to refer individuals to a variety of other services hosting by partner organizations. Some of these services are provided in CRIC's office; others are elsewhere.

These include:

  • Free mental health appointments
  • Free or low-cost health clinics
  • Birthday cakes for children
  • Referrals to the English Language Center
  • The Sub-for-Santa program
  • Immigration referrals
  • And many others

We don't believe in reinventing the wheel: if we can refer someone to an organization better equipped to help with something, we facilitate that connection.
